THE SHOULDER, THE ARM,
THE FOREARM AND THE HAND.
In my artistic practice, I concentrate on the interaction between the body and the face. Specifically, I explore the correlation between the shoulder, arm, forearm, and hand, and how they contribute to facial expression.
By engaging in physical movements and experimenting with various positions of these body parts, my goal is to create a space where the face can emerge and reveal itself. Through this process, the face finds its rightful place, enabling it to communicate and express its inner thoughts, emotions, and complexities.
Drawing inspiration from the words of Emmanuel Levinas *, I am reminded that the face is a profound reflection of human existence.
It is through the vulnerability and exposed nature of the face that we can catch a glimpse into the depths of a person's being. The face becomes a gateway to understanding and connecting with others on a profound level.
